Competence
Holsøe Architects is working on projects ranging from new constructions to restoration. We feel we are privileged to benefit from having this multidisciplinary approach to daily tasks. The projects undergo an environmental evaluation in which the appropriate level of sustainability is planned.
New construction and renovation
New construction ranges from commercial buildings to residential housing, and we are constantly developing new architectural and interior design concepts.
Commercial buildings are included as a core area among the studio's scopes. Recently we have developed ideas in scale 1:1 for office buildings that serves both open empire as hybrid solutions, taking into account individual adjustment.
Residential housing is similar to us and we have for more than 30 years been working with family housing, elderly housing and nursing homes across the country.
Restoration, renovation and maintenance
We have for many years been responsible for major and minor tasks for the Palaces and Properties Agency
on Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen. With Peter Holsøe as Royal Inspector the office has since 2004 handled restoration, renovation and maintenance tasks on all the listed properties, which are linked to the 3rd Building Inspectorate. The Inspectorate includes the ministerial buildings on Slotsholmen with a total floor area of approx. 260,000 m2, including Christiansborg Castle and Marienborg (the prime minister’s residence).
Sustainability
Sustainability is for us common sense, thinking and behaviour in our daily energy consumption. Holsøe Architects has an objective to integrate sustainability in the projects with the same self-evidence, as when we handle the architectural expression.
We require that projects are executed according to a set of guidelines for sustainability - an environmental program - which will be defined in collaboration between client and advisor. Based on the environmental program the appropriate action for the project is planned to ensure correct design and environmental management.
