Eigtved’s Warehouse

Replacing the roof.

The warehouse was built in the years 1748-50 under the leadership of the royal builder Nicolai Eigtved. All the building’s four floors were used by the Asiatic Company until 1976 for the company’s products. The five central sections of the ground floor was converted into stuff chamber, where the public after the ships’ arrival could inspect the precious, exotic products.
Eigtveds Warehouse was later refurbished for use as a meeting, conference and reception rooms for departments in the central administration.
