Glyptoteksgården
In one of the most attractive quarters of Copenhagen, close to Tivoli, Rådhuspladsen and the Port of Copenhagen, a block with residences and hotel has been constructed. The expression of the building fits in with the rest of the quarter’s architecture comprising beautiful, brick-built blocks from the turn of a century. In a modern interpretation of the brick-built building the facades encircle a green patio. Surfaces in charcoal burned golden bricks make the facades fall naturally into the neighbourhood and emphasize at the same time the adjoining monumental building, Copenhagen Police Headquarters from 1942. Zink covering and characteristic balcony railings of tempered glass give the brick-built facades a light expression.
